This photo was made at Blackwater Refuge near Cambridge, Md. on the Chesapeake's Eastern Shore. 100,000 Canada geese migrate there every autumn from Ungava, land of Cree Indians and Eskimos between the James and Hudson Bays. Blackwater's 11,000 acres were established as a wildlife refuge in 1933.
